Model in Movie

http://godzilla.wikia.com/

In the movie, “Godzilla vs. MechaGodzilla 2(1993)”, Mechagodzilla was born with the application of the technology of people from the 23rd century who made Mecha King Ghidorah (showed up in the movie,”Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah(1991)”).

Overall Sculpture Design

It’s a very robot.

The faithful mechanical portrayal is successfully achieved with the metallic silver paint application and the details.

The parts made of actual metal

The interesting parts are its toe parts. They are made of Diecast, the metallic material. If you touch the toes and the other parts, you can actually feel that the toes are colder than the others.

I appreciate the detailed pattern on the bottom of the toes. It was kind of unexpected.

Even the bolts on the gap between the pelvis and the thighs make the figure more robotic!

Articulation

Overall articulation is very good. You can pose it very smoothly. Especially It is very easy to move the leg parts.

Since the model of this figure is a robot, of course, it has different articulation from the other Godzilla figures. For example, although you can spin around the other body parts of this figure easily, forearms and legs are bendable but can’t be swiveled around, and the tail is not articulated.

Accessories

I think the most exciting things of the figure are the various accessories. It’s really fun to change them and play with this toy in different ways.

Interchangeable hands

You can swap out basic closed hands with these little splayed hands (actually it’s hard to see the difference between them though haha).

Interchangeable neck and tail parts

You might wonder what you can do with the extra neck and the tail parts. They are used for posing the figure flying. The neck part makes the figure’s face look upward and the extra tail part is little more straighten than the basic tail part.

To pose it flying…

First, change the neck part.

Next, change the tail part.
